After watching Coop smash it in a 12-2 win and helping string together a tres chic three-game win streak, it’s official: we’re on a winning streak. Hats off to Jed Hoyer for seeing the diamond in the rough, and Garrett, if you’re reading this—sorry, and thanks for proving the doubters wrong, myself included. High fives all around!

That’s not just good; that’s “Did someone turn on easy mode?” good.

Big shoutout to Superfans at Wrigley last night. Paul and Michael, our newsletter’s very own superheroes, braved what felt like the Arctic at Wrigley last night.

While the team was heating the field, these guys were proving that Cubs love can thaw any freeze. Watching the game from the upper deck, wrapped in layers (of clothing and love for the Cubs), they embodied what it means to be a superfan.

Paul’s kids snagging those tickets might just be the home run of heartwarming gestures. Here’s to all the games we’ve weathered through every kind of Chicago weather - it’s nights like these that make it all worthwhile.

Let’s chat about something that’s been tickling my brain lately—the ever-mystifying identity of our 2024 Cubs. You know, every team has its flavor, its swagger.
