Swanson's Spark Ignites the Fire
Swanson’s Homer Sparks Cubs' Rally in Thrilling Win Over Dodgers!
In what felt like a scene scripted for the die-hards, the Cubs turned the game on its head against the Dodgers, overcoming an early deficit with a five-run explosion in the second inning. Dansby Swanson's solo shot and the Ian Happ’s strategic patience at the plate and Seiya Suzuki’s clutch hitting rattled Dodgers’ starter Bobby Miller, chasing him off early and setting the tone for the game. The Cubs and Dodgers exchanged punches all afternoon but the Cubs finished on top!
Michael Busch with the Bat and Glove
Busch’s hits his 1st Wrigley Field Home Run and Saves the Day!
Michael Busch, with his recent impressive performance, has swiftly turned the tables on his batting average. Despite entering Wednesday night's game with a modest .154, he has astoundingly reached base a remarkable five times in just the past two games. As a result, his batting average has skyrocketed to an impressive .316. The Cubs next player to step up will be one who truly shines with the glove - none other than Nico Hoerner. He’s due at the plate for a big day.
Defensive Gems
Cubs’ Defensive Brilliance Saved the Day, Twice!
From Nick Madrigal’s exceptional play at third to Nico Hoerner’s Gold Glove-worthy performance, defense was a cornerstone of today's victory. I really hope Christopher Morel learned a lesson in solid defense from Madrigal today. Nick Madrigal has made some excellent plays over at the hot corner this week. Nico Hoerner made an incredible play to end the 4th inning. The Dodgers had runners on base at 2nd and 3rd and Nico Hoerner made a play that shows why he earned his first Gold Glove awards last year. Check out the video of Nico’s play below.

Michael Busch's remarkable play on James Outman's rocket towards right in the Top of the 9th, prevented two runs and secured a resounding victory for the Cubs.
The Closer
What a game, what a team, and what a season we’re in for, Cubs fans! Tomorrow, we take on the Dodgers again at 3:05 pm CDT, with Jordan Wicks on the mound. We get to see Yoshinobu Yamamoto starting for the Dodgers. His 3rd start in the major leagues after scorning our Cubs for the Dodgers this offseason. After Shoto Imanaga's start in the home opener there were grumblings that the Cubs got the better Japanese Free Agent Pitcher this offseason. Let's keep it that way. Go Cubs
