A Heartfelt Thank You to My Cubs Superfans
A Special Thank You to Our Community and a Sneak Peek at What’s Next
Dear Cubs Superfans,
As I close the curtains on an exciting 29 days of our Cubs Superfans Newsletter trial period, I find myself reflecting on this journey we've embarked upon together. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining this core group and for your support through these early stages.
A month ago, I decided to start this side project, fueled by Cubs passion and the hope of connecting with fellow Cubs enthusiasts like you. Today marks a significant milestone, not just because our free trial period ends, but because it's decision day for the future of our newsletter.
I'm thrilled to share that I’m not just continuing—I’m stepping up to the plate with even more enthusiasm and a game plan that promises to enrich our Cubs fan experience together. Luck smiled on me last month when I won some money playing Super Bowl squares, and I've decided to invest those winnings into this newsletter project even more vibrant and engaging.
Here's what's on deck for the next two months:
5-Minute Podcasts After Cubs Wins: Let's relive the glory of each victory with insights and commentary. (And yes, on the off chance they don't win, we'll skip the podcast because who wants to dwell on that?)
Fan Voting for Player of the Week/Month: Your voice matters! Vote for the players who steal the show and let's celebrate their brilliance together.
In-Depth Stories and Analysis: From the vibrant Voice of Cubs Reddit to the influential Cubs Twitter, we'll dive deep into what makes our community tick. Plus, look forward to game recaps, series previews, and player profiles.
Expert Analysis: Straight from a Superfan—and not just me! We're talking about a community of superfans, sharing our unique perspectives and deep dives into what makes our team special.
I'm all in, Superfans. This newsletter may still be in the early innings, and while it's not yet as polished as I dream it to be. I believe we can take this to new heights.
So here's to swinging for the fences, Cubs style. Like Javier Baez, we might miss sometimes, but when we connect, expect it to soar right out of the park.
Thank you once again for giving me—and this project—a shot. Let's make the next two months even more exciting, engaging, and full of that Cubs spirit we all love.
Warmest regards,
Mark Franzen
